How to get 360 degree slew in your RC excavator

I've been thinking on how to send signals to the motors on your radio controlled excavator tracks from the cab without the wires getting twisted every time you slew round. The best solution I can think of is to use a head phone jack with a signal, positive and ground on the three outputs of the pins, that way you can send a signal and power the motors while still being able to rotate as much as you like.

My only problem now is I've no room to put a motor to slew the digger so I've still that problem to work out!!
