I found this video where the guy shows whats inside his homemade electric rams. I can see its just a servo but how does it keep turning? Servos only move 180 degrees right? and what is the threaded bar he uses? it doesn't look like normal threaded bar.

It looks to me like he has removed the potentiometer and the control board from the servo and is just powering the motor. And yes normal servos only go about 180 degrees but they can be modified for continuous rotation also so instead of moving to a point between -90 and 90 degrees you get speed control.
As for the threaded bar, I'm not sure. Maybe a drill bit? Any other ideas?

Some people use masonry or wood bits,file edges and cut off sharp end,
match the drill bit up to your servo size .

I have yet to try it myself but it seems like a good idea. I might try it on a dump trailer or something like that.

Yes, this method is often used when converting Bruder excavators to RC. I didnt think it was possible to do it in 1/32 scale!
