Siku control JD 6920s tractor
I bought this tractor on ebay thinking it was a good deal. No battery, battery charger, or transmitter. I thought I would convert it to run on my existing Flysky RC receiver and battery. Now I am having second thoughts. Does anyone have any ideas on this. Is there a US version of the battery and or charger?

Hi Bill,
I like the plan, might have been a little ambitious. I'm not sure how much shipping would work out but I occasionally see controllers and other parts on ebay.de as the hobby is more popular in continental europe.

A little ambitious is an understatement for me. I didn't realize what I was getting into. To nicely put together for me to be tearing apart.

That's why I am having second thoughts about this. I didn't realize until I receive the tractor that it was quit different then the non electric 6920 I had bought previously. It also could be infra red. I can't tell. Also the problem of a charger to plug into 110volt US outlet or a common battery to plug into the tractor.

It turns out this is an infra-red control tractor. The controllers are no longer available. The battery is rather expensive and can't be shipped by regular mail. And I would need a charger. Does anyone have experience with converting to to a standard 2.4 radio control on this scale? The small battery and charger I have are 4.8 volt NiMH The Siku is 3.7 volt. Bill

Hi Bill, I ordered a Siku control 6920 and a fendt 930 second hand with no charger, battery or controller over the weekend. I'm going to do a few videos converting those to use my arduino based control system so that might give you a few ideas. Be a few weeks before I get going with that though. As for the 3.7 volt lipo batteries, you can get those with the chargers fairly cheap on ebay these days, here is an example.

Hi, That would be great to see what you do. If you would, start with exactly what you have. I previously bought a 6920s and the IR control 6920s is a little different construction. My biggest problem is the fear of destroying a wonderful little tractor. I look forward to see your videos. My second problem is the wiring to make it work with what I have. Starting with the little battery socket with 6 contacts.

Yes whatever state it's in when I get it will be how you see it at the start of the video, the first video will probably just be me taking it apart to figure out what type of servos and motor are in it and what Siku used to control it.
It probably wont help you with the six pins really as I'll just be removing the Siku control board and replacing it with my own but we'll figure out the 4 wire servos and LEDs which might help you. I'll try identify the pins from the electronics if I can but cant guarantee anything.
