This is going to be my first model converting and I don't get how to make the cylinders. If you have a parts list. And a video on the screw servos.

Hi, I'll have a video with the first half of the screw mechanisms on Thursday. This build is going pretty slow, the screw mechanism took a few trial and error attempts before I got a design that I think will work for me. The second half of the screw mechanisms aren't finished yet, I should get time to finish them and make a video before christmas so hopefully a video with the boom working before christmas.

What shaft size did you use on N20 gear motor

I used a 3mm inner diameter brass tube to connect to the motor and soldered a mild steel M3 nut to the end. Then I used an M3 threaded bar for the other side. It's a little slow so you can use a drill bit instead if you need it faster.

That video was good. No that I have a idea I can start ordering the stuff to make it. Any suggestions where to order it from? I will be waiting on your next video

Well I got all that stuff on ebay I think and I think the pricing was reasonable. I might get finished recording the next video this weekend, its a bit of slow process putting all the pieces together.

Sounds good, it will be interesting to see how yours turns out too especially if you're using servos instead of the gear motors as they are probably faster.

Progress has died off a bit, I'm waiting on two more motors for the boom and also the gears for the slew. I ordered them around three weeks ago so it's quite annoying.

I ordered a set of gears that suit the N20 motors and have a big gear in the set which will hopefully be big enough to fit outside the existing pivot point. I'll have the N20 in the upper body and I'm going to mount the slip ring I got in the middle to connect the track motors to the rest of the machine. Still not sure how I'm going to hold the two halves together, kind of need the parts before I can decide that.
